For Parents: Welcome back to another exciting season of Grandville Wrestling. During the season you can receive this newsletter to keep you up to date with our wrestlers and teams results and plan for all of our scheduled events. Information will be available regarding all of our teams. If you would like to receive this update please email dparks@snyders-han.com to have your name added to the mailing list.

There are several opportunities we have as parents to defray some of the annual expenses to support your Grandville wrestler. The money is deposited into your wrestlers account and can be used to offset the cost of wrestling camps or purchase team wear. Below are programs that will be paid to your wrestling account.

A.) Meijer Rewards. You can sign up for Meijer Rewards (see Steve Sousley) and your account can be linked directly to your wrestler. The reward is split between the wrestling club and your wrestler. There is no limit on the number of Meijer Reward Program guest cards that can be applied to your account.

B.) Annual Mulch Sale: Every year we raise money for our wrestlers selling mulch, each wrestler will receive $2.00 for every bag of mulch that they sell. This program is scheduled to begin the beginning of April and the plan is to deliver all of the mulch that was sold during the final weekend in April.

C.) Border Wars / MYWAY / High School / Middle School Tournaments: We are always in need of workers during tournaments this opportunity is available for our parents and wrestlers and includes set up, table workers, gym clean up activities. The money is paid directly into your wrestlers account based on a per hour distribution amount established from funds available for all volunteers. Current scheduled tournament opportunities:

1.) 3/20/10 – MYWAY Regional Tournament – Grandville High School.

D.) Concession Stand: Each year the wrestling club is scheduled to work the concession stand, parents who volunteer their time will be paid an hourly rate and the monies will be applied directly into your wrestling account.

Please note you must be a member of the Grandville Wrestling Club in order to set up an individual wrestling account for your wrestler – please see Stacey Meyer for information on join the Wrestling Club.

The Grandville wrestling club host a few fundraising events every year to support our wrestling teams. A Club Dance, Golf Outing each year for parents --- a great opportunity to have some fun and support the teams --- also if you have any ideas for different fundraising activities please let us know at the next wrestling club meeting on December 8^th. All are welcome.
