2009 Youth Folkstyle Wrestling Practices
The Grandville Wrestling Club is offering the opportunity to learn the sport of Folkstyle wrestling. This is the same style of wrestling that is practiced at the Middle School and High School levels. The Folkstyle program is for children ages 5 to 14. Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday for everyone, with an additional practice for the advanced wrestlers on Tuesdays. Practices will be being on Tuesday, December 1. Children should athletic shorts, t-shirts, and gym or wrestling shoes to practice. The coaches will be Bob McDowell, High School Head Coach John Sanderson, and members of the High School Wrestling Team.
Parent Meeting/Registration
When: November 19, and December 1, 2009
Where: Wrestling Room at
Time: Registration and Parent orientation – 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
First Practice
When: December 1, 2009
Where: Wrestling Room at
Practice from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. for beginning wrestlers
Practice from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. for experienced wrestlers
Cost: $50.00 per child – Payable to Grandville Wrestling Club
(This includes a MYWAY membership card)
Tournaments will available on weekends at an additional cost. Please fill out this registration form for each child participating in the practices and bring it to the registration meeting with registration fee and a copy of your child’s birth certificate. This insures your child for medical expenses through MYWAY. If you are unable to attend the parent meeting, you should bring the registration form to the first practice your child attends.
